Previous owner installed a red tortoise shell pickguard and used what looks like sharpie to color the humbucker bobbins black.

Tremolo arm and original pickguard are missing. One of the original “cigar” posts was stripped so a new vibrato tailpiece was purchased. Currently the new cigar tailpiece and posts are being used with original baseplate and bridge.

Added Black Abalone pickguard and jazzmaster trem arm. Original nut was chipped and was replaced with Tusq XL.

Shielded pickup and control cavities with copper shielding tape

Tusq XL nut had incorrect string spacing, replaced with custom bone nut.

Replaced vintage string tree with a Tusq string tree. Replaced vintage barrel saddles with height adjustable Tusq saddles.

Baseplate is now half MIJ mustang trem and half MIA. Bought a cutdown 67 mustang trem baseplate. Vintage baseplates had countersunk holes for trem pivots and were made of a harder steel, trem now returns to zero.
