i have a black russian muff and i use it for shoegazey stuff. with the tone and sustain turned up full i think its really good for shoegazey stuff with my jazzmaster.

+1, with my dot it sounds very spacious, i dont know if anybody is into silversun pickups but it nails his gazey sound off carnavas

for really spacey type sounds i like to turn my dd7 to modulate mode and set the delay time way down so you can't hear individual attacks, then turn the feedback up so that it's almost oscillating. result = huge modulating noise in background, reverb effects w/loud notes, crazy feedback.

it seams like a cross between a DS1 and a metal zone (as far as i can remember).

it goes from Dark fuzz with no top end, to light overdrive.

if its cheap i would go for it, i am sure you will find some sounds you could use.

I've read theyre good for just like huge searing distortion. . but maybe theyre not then. . .

i wanted one for ages, but heard they were rubbish and didnt really have much use. but i may still pick one up in the next 6 months or so
