I bought only the relict body wich was in stock configuration and added a fender mustang neck. The former owner sold it as manufactured in 1996, although the original serial number is unknown.
I also don't know about the crafted or made in japan thing, but as far as it would be made in 95 when it's "made in japan" I suppose it's "crafted in japan".
In 2014 I modified the electric wiring by making also the humbucker able to be set out of phase and adding a fender tele lipstick running through a separate on/off switch.
